Deviation Actions
And so, weeks of goofing around, delayed projects, and just enjoying life for myself; my army enlistment date has come.
As my last journal post mentioned, if you've read it, I have been enlisted into the Singapore Armed Forces, and will be deployed to BMTHQ for my Basic Military Training for a course of over 3 months, (plus 2 months extra fitness training). After that, the rest of the two years of compulsory military service.
----------------------------------------
To all those who I owe or I fell like I owe them some deviation or another, I hope you understand what I'm going through and that I will definitely have my work cut down sharply, and I sincerely apologize for the delays.
----------------------------------------
This is definitely a new chapter in my life, as I leave the world of education for a while.
To be quite frank, I feel kind of edgy and nervous. And as I type this out, I can't help but wonder what my future squadmates are doing as of this moment. Who are they in the first place? What are they feeling? Are they as apprehensive and troubled as I am? Or are they just preparing for whatever comes at them, being carefree for as long as they can?
That I don't know. But as I have witnessed many friends and family members who have done and passed their time in the service; they all agree on a few things:
We will be pushed hard.
We will get our limits tested.
Some may even have their spirits broken.
But in time, we will get to know one another.
We will help and push each other though hard times.
We will laugh and play together.
We will endure and suffer any kind of punishment together
We may even cry together.
And we will march on together.
For we, Singaporean Sons, National Service is a rite of passage that all Singapore citizens go though. It is a rough transition for us boys, to becoming men.
As much as I need the luck, I still bid to whoever gets to read this, I hope the best for whatever you may be doing, and I wish you all well in your future endeavors.
Recruit-LuLZ over and out.

2020 Update
It has been quite the tumultuous year for everyone I'd imagine. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, various states of unrest all over the globe and changes to the status quo that are likely to remain in place years after this is all over. Things here in Singapore are more or less calmed down fortunately, but the fight goes on and the odd community Covid cases pops out once in a while to keep us on our toes. My current job situation has not improved in the slightest, no thanks to the pandemic and has now made me seriously reconsider my lifestyle, seeing and various family members are now experiencing similar cutbacks. I sincerely hope you all are having a better time then I am. And as I have noticed, the current redesign of the dA site hasn't exactly been met with much enthusiasm from their own community and I can't help but agree with some of their UI choices. User interactivity has also taken a sharp dive since the change and thus has kinda opened my mind to other alternative sites to
2016 Update
So, its been a while since I've updated anything at all.
A lots been happening in my life now, and the many different art projects I've been promising have either been mothballed, neglected or put on hold for reasons. Most of which is mainly my current motivation levels or even more personal ones.
Anyway, all that would probably change within the next few months as I begin a one-year course in Concept Design & Illustration, at 3Dsense Media School, where I hope to greatly improve my work under extremely professional tutors, and continue to do the things I love as a career path. :)
Also, I've picked up Tom Clancy's The Division and havi

A New Era
Hi again. It's been a good while since I've wrote one of these. Then again, I only do Journals when I felt I've reached a certain milestone on my life.
-------------------------------------------
Well, it's been two years of contributing 2 years of National Service to my country. Seems only yesterday I was boarding the ferry to Pulau Tekong, along with hundreds of other young boys, uncertain of what was to come in our certainly tough training. Like thousands of other before and after me, it's just yet another adventure to be told when reminiscing about 'our days in green'. But not everything is all rainbow and sprinkles during my time there
